Clubs near blackpool

Hi guys, my name is James and im from Blackpool, well near to it anyway, wouldnt really want to live there i have been wondering about a first car for a while and then i ended up talking to a friend of mine about the Luegos, i have now decided that i will be getting one of the velocity's and sing a 1300 X-flow

Anyways what i was wondering is, is there a Luego or velocity owners club anywhere near to Blackpool or around the area

hi mate, welcome to the forum

i dont think there are (m)any dedicated luego clubs, however several members from manchester meet up monthly, so this is one option for you. Not sure if any drive luegos though

Yorkshire meet is quite large but maybe a triffle too far

Locosts in Blackpool

Hi James,
I tried to get some interest in a Fylde coast meeting place a couple of years ago, through the Locost owners club. I saw one chap from the Liverpool area on one occasion, but nobody else.
I've travelled to the yorks meet and also to the South Manchester gathering.
I've just sold my (crashed) Stuart Taylor X-flow and have started a new project, but if you want to pick my brains give me a shout. I'm in Thornton between Fleetwood and Blackpool.
I've got loads of x-flow bits left over if you're at that stage.

have fun,
Mark

hi mark, you dont know how good that is to hear , i havent ordered my kit yet but will be doing soon, i know this might sound a bit stupid, but as im only 17 mum sorta has a say in what car i will be getting as she will be paying most of it

anyways last night she decided a kit cwas a bad idea, i sorta told her where to stick it and that i would buy it myself if necessery

anyways now she is saying that if i can persuade her that they are sorta safe she will think about letting my have one, would you be interested in helping me ith that ?

and also would you mind if i nipped round to see your car some time, i live in poulton by the way you should know where that is

Just show her how cheap the insurance costs are (compared with if you insured a Fiesta/Nova)- that in itself should be proof enough! As obviously insurance companies charge proportionally to risk.

Having said that- you might wanna check you *can* actually get insurance for it if you intend to take it on the road! I only say that as a few people here recently have had trouble at your age.*

Atb,
James

*Man! That makes me feel old when I say that!

hehe yeah joel i said that and she said she would kick me out if i had one of those :p somethinga bout someone in the family died in motorbike crash

James - i have been looking for insurance a few of the kit car specialists wont insure me because they require age restrictions of 21, 25 or atleast a years driving. There are however a few places like Footman James that will insure me and ata cheaper privce than a fiesta or nova, however what i wanted was to get insured with adfrian flux as they have a deal with luego at the momoent on a limited mialage program but they require anyone with them to be 25>

cheers guys
