Anyone know where to get cantilevers?



I am trying to use inboard suspension but mymachineshop.com wants $275 each since it would be custom. There isnt anyone out there making these is there ?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hmmn...

Bike monoshocks come with nice alloy ones, or (better IMHO as you can make them exactly as you'd like) you could fab them from sheet steel (laser cutting is pretty inexpensive, bandsaw and drillpress are also suitable) and a bit of tubing welded together.

Bronze "tophat" bushings are available very resonably from industrial supply and bearing houses and make suitable pivots.

They sound like mine Ted...

My bushings were steel with tin/PTFE lining (very high PV value), but otherwise very much as you describe....cheap and simple
