What battery for a 4AGE

I'm just about to purchase a battery for my Velocity and I just wondered if anyone can give me some advice as to what is the best one to go for. Plus I could do with knowing the overall sizes, Amp hr rating and what vehicle it was from.

(I have already asked Luego but I could do with a second opnion too.)

Thanks in advance.
Rich

I have a theory about batteries. Any car at all will quite happily run with a mini battery. That will have enough grunt to start it. If it needs loads of cranking, it needs looked at.
A mini battery will start it, the alternator will take care of the rest.
I have started and run a BMW 3.0si quite comfortably on a mini battery.

Sorry if this wasn't the road you were going down.

A good rule of thumb to make sure you get a battery with enough grunt is to buy one from the donor car, so for a 4AGE, just pop into Halfords and ask for a Corolla battery.

Zilspeed is correct though, once the engine is running, the battery should not be taxed at all, expecially if u are running a locost without all that leccy crap most cars come with.

On my Striker 4AGE I run a BMW motorbike battery. Has been fine. It is the same one RAW use.

Ben.

I'll be fitting a mini battery to my Mojo, and that will be sporting a nice old 4a-ge. Hopefully it will fit in the place I have allocated too... Maybe Ishould have checked though.... Hmmmmm
