Throttle and choke cables

Hi All,
Can anyone who is using a cross flow engine tell me what throttle and choke cables they are using? Is it a case of making them up to suit. The Escort ones will be far too long I think.
Your thoughts and comments please.
Cheers
Jon

a lot of builders connect the choke too the bonnet pull if you have one on your column, neat trick.
