New Wheels! S'pose I'd better paint my drums
The arguments with my son are finally over;
I said my old 13's were fine, he said you'v got to have 15's.
So 15" it is then. (lost again  )
Just one problem, the Sierra drive shaft ends hit the centre caps. Bu**er. 
Still, at least I'll be able to sort out my mudguards now.

Hi Adrian,
Wolfrace Octain with Toyo's
(I'll weigh them tomorrow)
£555 for 5. I suppose somebody will find a site that's cheaper now I'v got them.

no Paul,didn't have any problems with centre caps,but notice your front caps look ok,is the problem just on the rear,I have discs fitted on the
rear.

I have 'Tina hubs on the front, they just touch the centre cap
but if I flatten the grease cap a bit they will clear.
It's the back that is the problem.
Either grind the end of the drive shaft down or make a 4mm thick spacer ring.
Been thinking: 
It would be good if the centre cap had this new Locost logo on it. Milled into ally perhaps?

with respect, yours work out at £563.75 for the same thing including postage, assuming postage on 5 is the same as 4.

They would actually have worked out £20 cheaper (I get good deals, so you get good deals)! And we could have done some lovely centre caps with the
Locost7 logo for £20!

I had the same problem with the caps on the rear wheels on my MK. The sierra nuts prevented the caps fitting. in the end i sent the caps back to the
manufacture and they cut the centre out and put a raised cap on, not totally what i wanted but they solved the problem and look reasonable.

The Wolfrace Octanes are only available in 5.5x15 or 7x17, I'm afraid.

hey mike rj, really doesn't make much difference coz they still have the same rolling radius, i've got 35 profile tyres so they're
prob the same size as your nasty steels on your robin hood(rob from the rich give to the poor)and all that!!!! ha ha

i believe that, when people comment on the handling advantages of 13s over 15s over 17s, it refers to the lack of decent sidewall with the bigger rims
(as you rightly say, rolling radius remains fairly constant), obviously sidewall movement helps generate heat and grip, and also gives a more
predictable breakaway.
Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

bigger wheels also tend to be much heavier, and the more you can reduce the unsprung weight the better the handling. The only good reason (IMO) for
massive wheels is the need to fit huge brakes - not an issue in a 500kg car
then again each to their own, if people want to do the 'bling' thing because they prefer the look that's up to them.

I went for 15 inch OZ Superleggeras with Toyo 888 205/50/15's
Bling, light weight (4.9kg) and grip, what more can you ask for

Yup,
A case on a bit here an a bit there.
Sanded 2 mm off the end of the drive shaft. (any more and it would be taking the thread off)
The wolfrace plastic cap is about 4 mm thick, so I cut a hole in it with a hole saw,
then stuck the logo badge over the hole.
Saved 6 mm. Just enough.
