R1 98/99 Speed/Tach wires

Hi there,
can someone tell me please what would be the best wires to use for picking up a signal for speed and tach?
Thanks

You don't mention what instruments you want to use.

The most reliable point to pick up the tacho feed is from the low voltage side of the coils. The tacho output from the ECU is not easy to use.

For the speedo its common to have a separate sensor that is trigured by magnets attached to the wheel or propshaft. The speedo feed from the ECU is really only compatible with the bike clocks.

Cheers

Paul
