How do you know its a scam?

Maybe he spends time in both Middlesex & South Ayrshire in which case, bike could be collected from either.

I agree it does seem cheap for a Hayabusa but there is no 'Buy it now' option

I suppose the fact that he appears to be a new e-bayer could give rise to suspicion but looks to be ok to me.

Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

The picture is blatently been taken in America, if you look at the pavement or the road...which may explain the American spelling. such as mom, and license plate holder.

Maybe one of those auctions, like that Mondeo a while back, where the item has already been sold on ebay.com?

its a clever scam, he's covered most of the obvious things. That just leaves the escrow option, the new bidder, the stupid buy it now of £2600, and the american writing. Unfortunately, he will probably learn from this auction and his next will be slicker... ive reported it anyway.

Maybe it's cos I'm a Yorkshireman but I wouldn't part with 2 grand unless I'd viewed what I was buying first. However, I suppose there are some people who may be more susceptible to this kind of scam. Like the infirm or the elderley or people who live south of Watford Gap

thats pretty damned fast! im guessing the bidder (170 all positive) was a seasoned ebayer and bid to stop anyone else winning it, and reported it before me. if not, then they are pretty prompt!

Sorry to be dumb but what's supid ?

are you all northern twats or just a few??

Just the ones north of Derbyshire thank you.

I resemble that remark. I was thinking of buying the Hayabusa for my ageing aunt but was glad to be warned off. She looks like sticking with the Thundercat for a bit longer.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

He is also a very caring chap to want you to donate to the Katrina appeal.
I cannot understand the negative nature of all our earlier comments and can assure you that NO WAY SHOULD ANYONE BID ON THIS.
