for the SVA have the headlights to be adjusted, or do they only have to work properly ?

...but you'll have an MOT by then anyway, which will check the beam - only dip is checked IIRC.

Dom7. It's quite easy to do this by yourself. Use your tintop and shine lights onto a garage door or wall. Mark the beam pattern using pieces of tape and then replicate this pattern by adjusting headlights on Indy.

Note. This is assuming your tintop headlights are already set correctly

Why will he have MOT by then? Its a good idea but not essential.

Hellfire - does the height difference between tintop and locost matter or do you just drop all of the marks down by the difference??

Just a thought , have you fitted British type head lights that dip to the left? You will need them to get through SVA.

Unless you have a large 4x4 or something similar you'll probably find the height difference of headlights is negligible. We just set them to the same level and passed MOT without problems.

Bear in mind there must be min and max parameters for headlights because on most modern cars the pattern can be adjusted/altered dependent on the load of your vehicle.
