Vodafone trouble, any thoughts....
Just got my phonebill for my mobile, and there are about 12 calls to Liechenstein totalling about £30 over a period of 3 days. These were made,
according to Vodafone, from my handset. And yet I was in my shop each day, with different staff members (all of whom I trust anyway), and I'm
not totally sure where it is, let alone made calls to anybody there.
Vodafone won't credit me, even when I told them I would cancel my contract.
I've tried repeatedly to call the number from my landline and I just get a recorded message saying the call cannot be connected at this time,
please try later....
Any thoughts?

i think your only real option is to take it up with vodaphone again.
they have records of calls so if they cared to they could see that over the last however long you've had your contract your usage has been
fairly regular and than you suddenly call somewhere random in three days, they can easilly see this is out of your usual habits and thus worth looking
into especially because your denying making the calls,
have you checked the call records on your phone?, if someone did make them of your phone they would be on the call records. if not they could have
been deleted or your sim cloned.
i would take it back up with vodaphone and refuse to pay if you havent already and if worse comes to worse just write to them telling your cancelling
and cancell and direct debits too them

AFAIK
Mobile phone companies keep records of not only the date/time/length of call but also the exact location of the caller.
They also keep a record of the handset serial number (IMEI)
Ask them to prove that you made the calls.
If they wont then tell them where to stick the bill and you will see them in court.

This sounds like a re-directed call to me.
Possibly an 09***** number?
A friend of mine had a similar problem and found his son had used his phone to call a helpline that was re-directed and came up on his bill as a call
to, I think, Sweeden.
Worth further investigation I feel!

I never make calls to 09 numbers as a matter of course, and nobody else gets access to my phone.
I'll certainly take it up with Vodafone again and ask them to prove it in writing.
I'll also contact ofcom.
Cheers chaps.

Thanks chaps, just spoke to a very nice and helpful manager who agreed the calls were very odd, the number won't call through anyway, and it was
out of charachter and credited my bill.
Nice to get a good result from a telecoms company ![](/images//smilies/bigsmile.gif) ![](/images//smilies/bigsmile.gif)

Mate of mine got one of these... paid it first time. Put his phone into his works safe and never used obviously... got another 3~4 the month after.
That was O2 - got all his his money back after proving it wasn't him making the calls.
