My first BEC experience
Guys,
Last friday I had the opportunity to meet a member of this forum which also took me for a spin in his R1 locost. Now some of you may say what is the
fuss all about? Well coming from Malta were to my knowledge there is one BEC on the island (still can not get hold of thsi guy) you would appreciate
that although I am building a BEc I have never actually experienced one! That is what I call faith! Anyway I would like to thank Chris once again and
I am know even more convinced that I have made the right decision; well actaully I did not do it right all the way I should have bought an R1 instaed
of a Fireblade

No probs Phil, glad you enjoyed it, and don't worry, the blade is a cracking engine and isnt much slower!
I know from personal experience that a blat in a car can hugely improve the enthusiasm to finish the build and get it on the road, so hopefully it
will make you even more eager to finish yours off!

I'm 6ft6 and Size 11's in an MK Indy, with Cobra Seats.
Its a squeeze, but last month drove from Leic to Devon & back as a tester for Lemans.
Would recomend you get a pair of racing shoes.
The only thing I need to address is a higher roll bar.
As the guys have said, The fun outweighs any discomfort!
Ive not had a ride in any 7 type yet and at 6.3" and size 12 feet im not 100% sure ill injoy driving the one im making..

It was a ride in Jon Ison's car that motivated me to finish mine.
They do take some getting used to - the sensation of speed is huge, the suspension is harsh when compared to a family tin-top, and the wind and engine
noise is overpowering. Also, the handling is like no ordinary tin-top I've ever driven; direct, twitchy - in a good way - and requires
concentration.
But I love it!
