Velocity shock length

Does anyone know the open length of the front and rear shocks for a standard Velocity (not XT, although its maybe the same). The max distance between centre points on the mounts is very nearly 13", should I be aiming at that, or 12" where the wishbones will have spare movement over the shocks?

I want to be able to run very low, I won't have any protuberancies below the chassis rails so want to be able to take the ride height down to 2" for the track and 3-3.5" for road.

Edit - I know the wheel size will have some bearing on ride height, my wheels will be a fairly normal size, say 195/50-15.

And, I'm also aware running that low may screw up the geometry, I'll find out when I try it
