Silicone Hoses

I've just been looking at the prices of hoses

I'm looking for standard blue hoses - nothing too fancy but good quality.

Samco distributors are quoting:

38mm 135 degree elbow £19.81
32mm 90 degree elbow £12.00
32mm 45 degree elbow £12.69

All prices are plus vat

SFS are a little cheaper but can anyone beat these prices by a reasonable margin or should I just bite the bullet?

Cheers,
Raz

Have a look at MNR in 'special offers' section.
He doesn't list all the hoses you are after, (gotta be worth a ring though, when you consider his 32mm 90 deg elbow is £5 cheaper than your samco example and includes vat!)

Andy.

MNR are quite competitive but they don't stock the sizes I need - I checked

Suprisingly, Rally Design are the cheapest so far - they undercut the other Samco stockists by a mile! (Their 32mm 90 degree hose is £8.97 compared with £12) I suppose they must have tons of turnover and therefore keep their margins low. Good news for me then

Thanks Guys

I found Rally Design were the best on price but the lead time was weeks as they didn't have most of the sizes I wanted in stock. If your not in a rush then you should be fine.

Good point Andy - I am getting an order sorted with them online as we speak. I'm not in a rush really, just thinking ahead to the Spring

its funny how different peope have different experiences

everything I have ordered from them has come next day

although one thing I find is as usual with most places these days the people that work there dont seem to have a clue unless you have a part number for them to type into there little computer etc

95% of the stuff I have ordered in the past has arrived next day. Maybe I picked a bad time to be ordering hoses and in typical Andy style I needed them straight away. Planning has never been my strong point.

Agree about the staff, whenever I ring they always need to go off and ask someone else

I got mine from highbury hose - much cheaper than samco from rally design and they can do different length legs to suit your plumbing as they make them to order.

A few people on here have used them as thats where i found out about them.

I tried their telephone today but got no answer - perhaps I'll give them another try tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip Chris
