Could be one of the following things i think.

Running low on disk space

If not it may be the swap file needs increasing.

Try this help page ....

Have you got loads of separate windows open? If not & you've changed nothing sounds like a virus? It's very unlikely to be anything to do with hard drive or swapfile.

grrr

low on virtual memory means the amount of different progs you have running is more then your computer can handle it will be running slowly on everything

lemme guess msn messenger with 11+ conversation open

a couple of internet explorer pages

maybe kazzaa or something similar

and probably music all happening on a fairly low spec pc

just cloas eeverythign that your not using when you are not using it

if you are running kazaa or somethign like that one your pc get it the hell off there theyre all full of virussed files and trojans and adware and spyware

i woudl suggest dowlonading spybot search and destroy it will find and allow you to remove adware and spyware and with it removed it will free up some space but try not having as many things running at the same time or just buy some more ram

ps sorry for my shitty typing

If you are using any image editing programs such as photoshop or illustrator, these are huge virtual memory hogs, the longer you have them open for, the more virtual memory they will use, whther you are actively using them or not, the best thing to do would be to restart, and close all programs in the system tray that you dont need, if this doesnt stop the errors, then you have deeper problems.

I've only got the main msn open, no conversations running, and one internet page (this one), and media player, yet it's still running slow I'll have a go at everythin you guys say though.

Although Intenet explorer is running fine, just msn really!

Cheers,
Oli
