SVA pass - shrewsbury

passed my SVA today (well, the car did)3rd time lucky- so happy!
drove to DVLA office, shrewsbury, and waited for 5hours for an inspection, at which point the boss said that the chassis no. had to be stamped on the chassis of the car, rather than on an aluminuim plate pop rivetted to the chassis.

At the end of the day, im still happy, but cant help feeling i wasted most of it.

off to DVLA chester next, after getting chassis No. stamped directly onto the chassis, and im toldill get an age related 'J' plate.

thought id share my news

Tom

Well done - I know how you're feeling.

As for chassis number, I'd originally had just a stamped ally plate, but before test (as a last minute thing) I stamped it on the top rail inside boot. Examiner still said it was removeable

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the replies and comments - its so nice to be able to make my car how i want it now, rather than please mr. examiner (it was mark that tested mine each time)
as for the meets, its still not road legal, im waiting for the DVLA inspection, but im sure as hell going to keep an eye on the meets and cant wait to give the motor a proper blast on the road!

thanks again for all your help, now need to think what im going to build next.... very tempted by MNR vortex rt... hmmm... decisions
