Trip to Ireland

I'm planning a trip to Ireland from the states, any one have any suggestions of cool things to see while I'm there, maybe some auto related things?

I'm from Dublin, but relocated to San Diego last year. Where are you going to? Plenty to do and see in Dublin, but you should try and get to the west of Ireland to see some 'traditional' stuff. I'd recommend visiting Galway city.
One thing to be cautious of is under-estimating the time it takes to travel distance by car. You might be used to the 60 miles in one hour rule of thumb, but that does not work in Ireland as the roads are shite.
If you are visiting around Easter time, watch out for the Circuit of Ireland Rally which is always a good event to see.

I'll be flying into Dublin, May, 20th and staying till the 27th, I plan on renting a car, and just driving around, and staying in bed and breakfasts as we go. Pretty much anything there is to do thats cool, my buddy and I want to find it, heh heh.

I dont know how far your into planning your trip, but i recently looked at flights to/from the uk to kentucky and vice versa for a friend of mine who lives over there and for him to book a return flght come to the uk was about 1600$ but to book a return flight with a uk airline was £500 using both airlines economy class.

if you go to the cliffs of moher about 2 mins drive from there is a "house" that me and my dad are re building on top of a pete bog lol

i have heard only good things about the giants causeway and would like to go

cliffs of moher arent bad but stevec unless youve been in the last 3 months its all changed they dug out a massive area for a new shop and information centre and stuff last time we were there

i would also reccoment ailwee caves if you go the cliffs of moher route as theyre close and not too bad and they cook a good baked potatoe in the cafe

also if you go there and you are a seafood fan go to ballyvaughn (not quite the heart of the burren more like on the coast to the west a bit of the heart ) and go to the pub called the monks or possible the monkfish great food

if you are going with a wife or significant other and you go to that area of ireland the burren perfumery in kilfenora would probably not be a bad place to go and the first time the slideshow is almost watchable lol
