u clamps for handbrake

hi all i need to re join my handbrake cable so does anyone know where i can buy some of these u clamps i have read about in the archives?

you're gonna get some bad chafage on the nearside hanbrake cable hole in the rear bulkhead in use.

i don't know your setup, but is everything aligned right? it certainly looks wrong, but could you not get a bush turned for the inner cable to run through? nylon or summat similar?

i got my u clamps from b&q warehouse. they're used extensively in suspended ceilings and strip lighting too, just incase there's something being built locally.

the engineering of the solution looks fine, but it seems pretty pointless if the cable behind it snaps in 2000 miles.

tbh it looks like an inherent flaw though, as the handbrake looks to have been spaced up already. the run's not going to get any better if spaced up further as the rear bracket would foul the pull bar, hence the suggestion of a bush.
