Fitting peugeot wheels to ford hub ?
Im trying to fit peugeot 205 1.9 gti alloys to my sierra hubs, ive got some spigot rings for the centres but am having trouble finding flat seated
wheel nuts to fit the ford wheel stud threads.
Ive been advised to drill a 60 degree taper into the wheels and use the standard ford nuts but not sure i like the sound of that ??
Anyone know where i can get some nuts to do the job ????
I think i will need longer studs too ??
Regards.....Andy

heh heh I am doing exactly the same.
Have ended up getting 5/8" sleeve nuts from rally design, which I am then turning down to suit the Peugeot sleeve in the wheel, that way I have
the correct flat face seat and with a locating sleeve too.
you may or may not need longer studs. I have used them but I "think" I may have got away without having now done it!
cutting seats in the wheel is not a good idea, conical seats need to be steel not ally. Usually the wheels have steel inserts for this job.
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning

NS Dev, you don't fancy making up another set do you?
I've just got a set of Pug wheels for the Indy!
Andy, where did you get the spigots from.

Give speedshack a ring - "Proper" RS Escort Alloys are flat and they normally have a good selection of nuts in.

Got the spigot rings from this place :
http://www.wheels.uk.com/
You need 65.1mm > 63.3mm, £18.99 set
They are turned from ali & will try em later to let u know if they fit !
Also found a guy on ebay who reckons he does the right nuts now, he said 'Hi Andy,I have Flat seated nuts for this conversion £31.20
delivered' so think i might order a set & then i can let you know what they turn out like ??
Or if you can do me a set NS DEV then ide rather give you the 31 quid if its worth your while ???
Cheers.....Andy

Hi
I'm using pug wheels, bought 5/8" sleeve nuts from ralley design
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=731_734&products_id=4663
I had to drill the wheels to 5/8", havn't bothered with spigot rings as the sleeve nuts are a very snug fit
The onlything i didn't like about the new nuts was the washers, they seemed very small, so i bought some M16 ones

12 normal ones, 4 locking ones. All new and unused.
Just say if anyone wants them.
