Cortina rear brakes
I have a corina axle with 9 inch rear drums. Iv got no gubbins with it just the back plates and drums.
Can anyone shed any light on which shoes and adjusters etc i need? I did hear mention f 1.6 sierra brakes fit? Im lost as to which ones to get.

taken from tiger forum
Sierra 1600cc brake components fit beautifully onto the Cortina backplates.

I am too fitting a cortina axle, sure I read somewhere I might have to swap the backplates from side to side to get the handbrake cable routing
correct
This will also involve swapping the handbrake arms on the shoes as well I think
Does anybody know any different?

I mentioned it (both here and the Tiger forum). I've fitted Sierra 1.6 internals to the cortina axle on my Super Six (as Cortina parts are like
rocking horse poo), and it all works beautifully.
You need to rob the self-adjusters from a scrap-yard Sierra, as I couldn't find anyone selling them new, but the rest of the internals can be
bought from practically any motor factors (possibly from your local Ford dealer too).
Cheers

Think thats only to get the handbrake cable out the back not the front.
