Beach Buggy?

Evening all.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever owned/driven a Beach Buggy?

I'm hankering after a "toy" car for the summer, and I have got my eye on a Beach buggy of some sort, probably a short wheel base one, based on a shortened Beetle floor pan.

I was just wondering if there is anything to watch out for, any tips etc etc.

Cheers
Andy

I've got one I want rid of!
1964 LWB Volksrod Mk 4, no V5, but registered, just needs letter to DVLA.
Bit of a project, I doubt it could be done for summer (not this one anyway)!
