3 down 10 small and 2 large to go
Making my own brackets on this chassis as Luego have gone 3 down and lotts to go. Still atleast they are locost at about 1/10th of Luego's
price, only take half an hour each to make 
Does anybody know where I can get the bent back rail as again I got the last one from Luego wasnt cheap but was very good quality.

What you mean there is a world beyond Spalding I think I would need my pasport

Nothing actually wrong with it. I am very fussy and know I can do better Besides my fabrication skills are coming on well .
Areas to change where.
I built lots of extra castor in to the chassis I found this isnt the best way of doing it ( this time the extra castor will be in the bones ).
I used a combination of the book and Gts plans and missed that the rear bulkhead is an inch taller.
I used lots and lots of 3mm plate and extra 1" box and it weighted a ton.
I want the whole car to come in at around 500-550 kg

Did you bend that out of steel strip or cut it out of hollow section? The place I got the rest of my chassis metal would only sell me a full length of
bracket sized hollow section which wouldn't really have been 'locost' so I bought some 3mm thick strip instead.
Any tips on bending it right if you bent it? I gave up and bought 12 after my first attempt was rubbish but I need to make some more. My failed
attempt was by putting it in a vice as square as I could and hitting it repeatedly with a hammer but the bend managed to end up scewed

I got a couple of off cutts of 50mm box with a 3mm wall. I chopped them into 40mm sections. I drilled all the way through making sure it was all
square and I then cut the face out with the seam. Cheap as chips

I made that section out of a bit of galvy pipe for nowt. The thicker section pipe allowed me to use my cheapo hydraulic bender on it. Made a jig to
make the brkts and done a jig when they were finished.

Bendy bit
I made mine from two pieces of 19mm tube with 90 degree bends and then welded them together with an internal sleeve. No bend radii formulas or
allignment problems that way

Hmm - I'd ring MAC#1 motorsports mate - they can bend anything in their workshop
I'd give Mark/Colin a ring - they'll have the metal their end - so you'll only need postage one-way

Had a badish weekend - realised my MICRA alternator wouldn't fit under the inlet manifold - sob!
So adapating a 'charade' one now!
Locost = NOT FKIN SIMPLE!

A plumbing bender will do that using the former for 22mm pipe and make a decent job of it. Cut it and join it like Mix says and you won't need
to work out for the bends.

Normally only get a few hours on a Sunday in the garage but im on my hols this week
Oh Dave if your locall feel free to come by and get a bit of that 50mm box as I still have a meter left.
Ill leave the back tube for now and see what pops up.

Try your locall enginering firm and have a word with one of the guys in the stores. Most have plenty of off-cuts. I also get all my 3mm plate in bits
this way.

You're not too far from Hammer Goodlad in Eckington, they'll cut you whatever you want off a length. I get stuff from them sometimes, they
are about halfway between here and Rotherham. 01246 433463. The chopsaw makes bracket production a doddle, I turn the box section on it's side
to cut the unwanted face off after I drill them then round the corners on the bench grinder.

I have a back rail that I cut from a MK if you want it? Have some 3mm bright steel offcuts as well.
