Oil Catch

Is it advisable to fit a oil catch to an R1 BEC. As they seem to drink it like there is no tomorrow so that the oil can be reused? As it could end up being expensive?

Or is that just a bad idea?

Not really necessary as I have not seen any blow out of the crank breather on two R1's (5JJ and 5PW). Most people just put a breather filter on the crank hose.

The R1 uses some oil but this is burnt not escaping somewhere else. It shouldn't be that much though and is typically only being used up when being thrashed at high revs (250ml in 200 miles on a trackday seems about right).

Last time I looked, there was no oil in my catch tank.
