CV Joint Replacement

Hi

I am renewing the CV joints to my Ex Sierra 4x4 rear axle.

However now I have striped them down I am finding it difficult to seperate the CV joint and the Joint Cover (as descriped in the manual).

Any Ideas.......

Dave

Mine had a circlip on the shaft, took this out then twisted the bearings out.

Spent the next hour trying to get the bugger back together, you convince yourself you are doing it wrong !

My mate who services cars for a living said dangle the whole lot by the shaft then a smart tap with a copper mallet on the housing will seperate it if it uses the wire ring fixing.

Regards Mark
