shocks

has anyone bought shocks and springs for front and back for the indy from somewhere other than mk.
just wanted to know if any others fit

not that i dont. just i was looking through demon tweeks mag and they had some nice shocks in.

i chose gaz due to the fact the protechs are alloy bodied. i just dont like the thought of stress and fatigue on the alloy that makes them up. plus gaz has a rock solid reputation and for that reason i trust the company more for any aftersales

incidentally i bought mine from mac#1 after talking to the guys there and finding they agreed with me and have tested both makes on the circuit

buy them direct from protech with rose joints he will do you a good deal. seems a spot on guy, as him about is history in the shocks buisness very interesting.

Hi could you tell me what exactly mac 1 did for testing shocks on track and what do they technically know about shocks.

I agree. Protech are very good people to work with. I too order my dampers with rod ends and an oddball spring. He was more than happy to ship to the US as well.

Still, if I had an MK kit, I'd likely just buy from MK...

Ally bodied shocks have been around for donkeys years in lots of high stress environments such as circuit racing, rallying etc without issue, so unless they are especially poorly designed (the Protechs look fine to me), you're not going to have fatigue problems on something like a damper body
