Here's a question: I have seen 2 different tilt angles of the R1 mounted in BECs: either with the bottom of the sump horizontal (which I think
is more faithful to the orientation of the engine in the bike when it is stationary and as seen
here) OR with the sump gasket horizontal (as I have on my BEC).
Do you think there will be a significant difference in the oil levels indicated by the sight glass in these 2 cases? Hoping not (otherwise I guess I
would have to check the 'true' overfill level by tilting my car over)!

I've looked at them in the bike shop and they check the oil with ithe rear up on a paddock stand which puts the engine at a different angle to
standing on it's wheels and they haven't had any problems with one yet.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Thanks - had visions of having to tilt the car over on one side in order to achieve the 'normal' orientation
