Oil Pressure Sender

Might be in the wrong section but here goes.
I'm fitting an oil pressure gauge and want to know if I attach the oil warning light wire (from the light on the dash) to the same connector that the oil pressure wire attaches to ?

TIA

No!

An sensor is one thing..

in fact it can measure a RANGE from pressures..sow the signal it gives is relative to the measured value.

A Low pressure SWITCH is just a switch wich provide ground to a bulb.

It has only one setpoint! and below that value it switches on.

Sow the answer is no, don't connect the bulb to the sensor.
