Pinto breathers ?

What have people done with the block and rocker breathers on pinto's??

I've made up a block adaptor but I'm not sure if I should get (/make) a catch tank or try and connect it to the mainfold or just use a filter?
(I'm going to use bike carbs - so similar problems to twin webbers)

The idea with my block adapter was to fill it with some knid of baffle/ pre-filter - in the hope it would reduce the amount of work the catch tank or filter would need to do (I've no idea if it will work though)

Even if you dont have a baffle/filter, the catch tank probably wont fill up very quickly. You can make them for cheap, or buy them from ebay cheap too.

You can't really feed them back into the manifold when using bike carbs.

Very nice work - my only worry is that the outlet is a bit small to fully alleiviate the back pressure - I would have gone for 1/2" bore or close to it and feed into a catch tank, also do the rocker cover in a similar way.

filter the fumes as they come out of the catch tank.

I know it's been posted before but have a look at this for more info Dave Andrews

Cheers

Very nice work

Its not that good realy, if you look at it close up you can see the affects of not having a very good chuck (I should have used the collets instead)

the outlet is ~12.5mm external dia. with a 13/32" bore (about 1mm thick wall)

Hi, I am running a N/a Cozzy but have run pinto's for a long time, I normally go to my local hydraulic fitting supplier , they supply all the fittings and crimp the pipe once i work out the lengths etc .. to the catch tank, If you run the breather pipe virtical or have a n inclination it in before it drops off to the tank you should not have a problem with it filling, unles you have another fundamental problem..

cheers Andrew.
