Sierra front hubs on book chassis

Here's a question. Since the supply of Cortina front hubs is illusive (please offer me a pair ), can Sierra hubs be used on a book chassis? If they can, what design of front wishbones should I use?
Thanks guys.

Yes you can and use the same design wishbones. You will need mushroom adaptors to narrow down the hole that was formally for the strut so that it acceots your transit rod end. You can buy them from gts tuning

Sierra uprights are not directly interchangeable with Cortina uprights without altering the wishbones. To use the Sierra uprights and retain the same overall front track width, you will need to use shorter top wishbones. Alternatively you could lengthen the lower wishbones and increase the front track width.

I'm sure some of the locost part manufacturers sell suitable wishbones for book chassis with Sierra uprights.

Getting the camber back is easy, camber change, steer arm and bump steer is another matter

Sierra Uprights

Further on the subject of using Sierra front uprights, what bottom ball joints will fit - have tried Maxi and they are way off and can't seem to find a drill or reamer to machine them to fit - any ideas out there?
