Thread sizes
Evening all,
Could someone tell me the thread size for the hose which goes into an M16 caliper and also the thread size for the caliper mounting bolt on a Cortina
upright.

off the top of my head (was fitting front brake calipers only the other week) the calipers are m10x1.0 and and the mounting is m12x1.75 but will check
properly for you later if i'm not corrected by any one else.

Its neither M10 nor M12 for the hose mounting threads....not sure if thats what you were reffering to though. Think they're usualy unf or less
commonly af though think it could even be metric....honestly not sure! Sorry....Oli.

Brake hose threads on M16 calipers is M10x1
The mounting bolts are M12

Be very careful you get the correct pitch thread istr it isn't 1.5 I think it is either 1.25 or 1.75

the actual sizes are:
Brake line fitting - M10 x 1
Cailiper to upright bolt - M12 x 1.75
