How much is an mk indy rolling chassis and panneled body (WITH SVA) worth?

About £50 less than one with a Pinto in  .

a bare chassis's £710 for reference
gotta be over a grand, if not £1500. it's so much easier building knowing you don't have to sva at the end of it

It wouldnt be a full job. It would be pretty much an assembled indy delux kit. No engine, seats, tank, brakes and anything else worth taking to
build something else. The SVA certificate has to be worth a fair bit itself as it costs a fair bit to get though sva especially if u have to buy
closed loop cat system etc.

so:
chassis,
powdercoat,
floor,
wishbones,
wishbone bushes,
ball joints + TREs,
rack,
shocks,
diff,
front and rear uprights,
brake lines,
ally side panels,
cycle wings + brackets,
loom,
low mileage wheel bearings?
rear panel?
scuttle?
bonnet?
bonnet catches?
nosecone?
column?
it soon adds up.
i'd say an sva certificate is worth about £500 when you've added the cost of the test and possible retest, day off work, £38 first reg
fee, time to cover all the edges, cost of edging materials and covers, arsing about with the dvla....................
i'd say my original estimate was low. going through it all, i'd probably be looking for more like £3k. it just depends what your new
project is as to how much you'll need to keep.

Would be interested to hear the outcome of this Carnut!
I would have thought a taxed, MOT'd and SVA'd MK rolling chassis would be £4k minimum, dependant on wheels / tyres / brakes. If you left
in the dash, seats and trim, lights etc then £5k?

That would leave him with a rolling chassis worth £1200 with no docs and £400 cash as opposed to a chassis with docs worth £3000+, sounds good to me
