Anyone got or used a pressure washer for sand blasting?
Hi All,
I'm considering buying a sand blasting kit for my Karche pressure washer, I was wondering if anyone here has used one.
I am thinking of blasting my wheels ready for repainting - any thoughts?

Yeah I tried years ago... Kept clogging up and didn't even touch the wheels so I ended up having them re-furbed profesionally and I don't
think it ever got used again.

Think there is a problem with using sand health wise. Silicosis?? Although using sand in water may reduce the risk . Can recommend Morley brothers in
Milton near the science park for wheel refurbishment . They do a good job and the prices are not too bad.

Eeeek,
My Dad had it in the end. I'll ask him next time I see him but don't hold your breath.

I have done it with some success on alloys and painted wheels. You need a decent power washer and not one of the 40 quid ones.
Main thing is to use Kiln Dried Sand from B&Q. Dryness with sand is the key to it not cloging up.........like a salt dish!

I've gat a Karcher pressure washer that cost £200 quid so I think it has the power, just need to find a sandblaster kit to fit it.
