OK, how do I get the half shaft oil seals out? Tried prising them but Im getting no where. More brute force needed?? Or is there a trick to it?

They have a tight metal ring that inteferance fits like a bearing, you need to get even pressure either side. The inner bit you can get pliers or mini mole grips on but its only rubber so bits get pulled of. Once you have got it moving a bit lever eitherside until the metal ring can be grabbed with the mole grips. Its fiddly but better than nackering the bearing seal face.

I tried several things but ended up going to my local Ford dealer. They used a special tool to yank'm out. Was done in a couple of minutes and didn't even charge me! They even let me borrow a drift to put the new seals in.
