Google earth

Just been on google earth and when it auto zooms into just over kilometer up its all out of focus?

am i being dim or is it just a bit crap?!

Mine works ok are you sure the bit your looking at has been fully mapped, try looking at ss6 (my home town centre) its recently been fully mapped.

not using it for directions or anything usefull!

Just having a play really, how can i tell what area have been mapped or do you only find out once you have put in your search critera and it comes up all out of focus?

but its really wierd cos some of the most remote places seem to be fully done and some built up areas are completely rubbish. Guess its based on what large companies are willing to pay google for as to what priority they get.

Try MSN.co.uk and click on 'Maps' in top bar-then search an address, you can either have map view, photo view or both (hybrid)-everywhere seems to be done-guessing to be approx 5-6yrs ago.

Try locallive , choose maps on the top and put your location in then choose Aerial on the map section. They have more up to date pictures of our location than the google earth site.
