How to attach clutch and gas wire to pedals

Hi

I need some ideas how to attach both the clutch and gas wire to the MK pedals.

I have a brand new clutch wire but before I start cutting away at it I need your advice.

hi mate

clutch and accelerator I got some U brakets that they use on go karts the nipple on the end of the wire slides into the U and doesnt come out

the U braket you put a nyloc nut through the peddle to hold it on but dont overtighten it

this allows the U to move up and down freely

zxrlocost, do you happen to have any pictures of how you used these brackets? I'm coming close to that part of the build and was wondering about a solution too.

Thanks in advance!

Build manual? What build manual?

Sady I did not find anything useful out there. But I got one advice though that might work.
Apparently old VW beetles have a gas wire with a sort of a Z shaped long nipple that locks into the gas pedals hole. I found on pic of it.

I'll guess that if you take a small thin tube and solder the wire into it and then shape it into the Z or flash like form it would do the trick.

But hey, zxrlocost if you have a pic and maybe a URL of where I can pick up the U bracket I'll guess that it would save me some work.

Well, to bad that they did not tell me when I ordered the kit. I especially asked it to ba as complete as possible.
One would wish that a simple thing like this should be included in the Deluxe Kit...

Anything else they do, but not tell that makes life easier?

Anybody have a pic of the MK made brackets? Or any other solution for that matter?

Thx.

do a throttle assembly kit
(you only really need the U bracket and a little bolt

you can do the clutch and accel with them

basically you drill two holes almost at the bottom of the two pedals

the bolt that comes with the kit goes through the hole and the U braket

then the cable slides into the U braket

Thanks mate. Just what I needed.

Edit:

My god... They want £15.28 for two. But shipping to Sweden.. Brace yourself...

£27.79. Total £43.07 Jeeez...

UK must have the worlds highest prices on shipping. Or the companys make their money on overcharging shipping costs. This for a parcel of 500 grams... No way. I'm looking elsewhere or fabricating myself.
But thanks anyway.
