Button shift

Any one out there any ideas on how to use the buttons on the steering wheel to trigger the up down gearchange. I am using the sierra horn bits but they end in two single wires, making earth for the horn. Can an adapter be made or can one be bought. At the moment the two wires move left and right with the steering wheel, not a pretty sight. Has anyone cracked the problem. Using the Translogic System. Hope this is clear. davy

undo it

and ground 1 side of the switch on the wheel

and the other side thru the copper ring to the box..

when grounded it needs to shift..

do you need positive to change gear or neg..

else you need to make a converter using some BC547C transistors and some resistors..
