just started

just started my build aprox 4 hrs into chassis build this is the story so far
i am a fabricator welder so chassis is not costing me a penny thanks to the company i work for i have a mk2 escort rear axle which didnt cost me anything thanx to my local rally builder i have also got my donar car coming next week mk4 cortina
i am building chassis from book dimensions can anbody shed some light on any problems that i might come across
before i get to them

check out mcsorley plans (click links) there are fewer mistakes in there but not much in the way of suspension brackets etc....and welcome to the nuthoose

From here you will get a 'correct' chassis plan and cutting list! Basically the book but with the mistakes taken out!

Welcome CJtheman. Personally, I chickened out of building my chassis, so when you've finished making it ( next weekend) I might be able to offer advice on the rest

Welcome to the site mate.. Dont be afraid to ask any questions. No matter how silly they may seem.

I got half way through my chassis then gave up as i was building outside and it was rusting quicker than i could get it together. I followed the mcsorly plans, much easier and less mistakes.

You're at the beginning of a very long road, but welcome!
I've done 2 chassis now and the only advice I'd give is make it 1" taller all round including the transmission tunnel. You'll need this anyway if you want to fit the Pinto in.
