R1 exhaust manifold fabricators?
Still looking for a manifold for an 05 engine. lsdweb gave me a number of a firm in wales (no jig and too far). Anyone know of a firm in london or
surrey?
My engine is going to be mounted in the same direction as the bike, but to keep the engine low, I need a 4-2-1 stainless manifold that wraps around
to one side and points to the rear of the engine.
They only way I can get this done is by someone local or someone who already has a jig for this.
Cheers Martin

You could try either Simpson Race Exhausts or Powerspeed which are a bit more local. Doubt if they would have a jig though.

If they are local, I can take the engine to them.

Maniflow are based in Salibury. Not a million miles away from you. from what I've heard, they can make anything for any engine application.

Just called simpsons, they can do a stainless manifold for around £550. Sounds ok?

Before you shell out loadsa dosh ring Dave Tyler in Wootton Bassett nr. Swindon 01793 849430. Don't know if he's done the manifold you
need but has done everything from classics to F1 exhaust for Bernie Ecc's collection. He did me a whole system - flanges, header pipes, 4into1
collector and pipe for not far short of that money.
Cheers, Pewe
PS Only does mild steel though not stainless

The above from Simpsons will be all of those things bar a silencer, not just a set of primaries, and would be in stainless if required
Speaking from personal experience, Simpsons are very good at what they do, not the cheapest by far but they know what they're doing in terms of
design and in the quality of fabrication.
Im not saying they're unique in that respect, but you need to make sure whoever you chose are building to a known good design or have the
required skills to optimise their own design.

I think they are a professional lot looking at their website, they are closer and they answer the phone!
I will still consider my options, but so far simpsons have my vote.
