Not aimed at any of the above insurers as I don't know how good they actually are.

But IMO the measure of an insurer is how well they treat you when you need to claim, both paying out reasonably and not messing you around. The cost is of secondary importance.

Any reports from people who've been unfortunate enough to claim would be more useful.

I rang round several companies, the ones that advertise in the back of the kit car mags and Adrian Flux were the cheapest. (I insure my Land Rover with them as well). Both policies accumulate NCB and are limit mileage, fully comp. Cost for both in the region of £ 150 each.

As ^^^^ said, you can best judge an insurer by how they respond when you make a claim.

I've read one or two less than complimentatry things about AF but without knowing about all the cases, it would be unreasonable to judge them on those alone.

And as for not intending to make a cliam, me neither - but you cannot control other drivers (having said that. all my accidents have been my fault )

I've made 2 claims with Footman James and had no problems at all. Always helpful and dealt with speedily.
