The truck could have been doing around 30mph at time of impact & still done that much damage in a head on. If he got out of that he's a lot better than Houdini.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I would think that is not the driver! driver would not be in that good a state! Also I suspect they used the winch on the tow truck to pull the car out from under the truck.

All I can see inside the car appears to be a crash test dummy.

Obviously if there are pics of driver then I'm wrong, and no, I don't want to see them.

Confused but excited.

That's one hell of a crumple zone!
Is that fact that the driver appears to be naked a contributary factor in him not seeing a bloody great truck in front of him?

As flak monkey said, 40 tonnes against 1 tonne is always going to be very unpleasant for the 1 tonne participants. All the same, while I find the whole "Speed kills" thing very annoying, there is no doubt that speed makes an accident a whole lot worse when it happens. Its just physics ... momentum = mass x velocity.

And given the quality of driving I see day after day on our roads, there are a lot of people out there who are accidents waiting to happen, and most of them are driving way too fast for the situation

Cheers
Richard

If there's any chance of a 40 tonne lorry coming the other way then yes, probably.
