Digi Dash 2 Lite....
Guys,
Thinking of getting one of these, what are your thoughts?
I dont really see the need for the Pro version or other logging options as i dont think i'd use it, even if i took it on a track once every few
years...
Interested to know what the current users think of it..is it reliable, easy to use , easy to wire up....?

Why not a veypor V2 from here
It will do almost the same but be half the price

Quality and support are meant to be excellent from ETB.
With the DD Lite, you also get all the sensors for it - something you don't get with the Veypor.
I was looking at a group buy for these - need to find out who's interested

You get all of the "necessary" sensors with the veypor.
I am using this on my next car. It bolts to the steering wheel.

I will also use a bright6 for all the indicators plus a combined mechanical oil pressure/water temp gauge.
Still costs about £175 cheaper.

I've found the DigiDash lite one excellent peice of kit in theory...
- Easy to set up
- Shows you your gear (especially good for the BEC boys)
- Has several visual alarms (you can set tolerances)
- comes with all the sensors/senders
- Nice bank of LED shift lights
- 0-60 times (incl. calculated estimated power output)
BUT!!!!!!...
WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE!!!!!!!....
DO YOU KNOW WHAT???!!!!!!????.....
It's still not in your line of site when you're screaming around the track at 100mph!
IMHO you see very little of it and I still invested in a remote shift light and gear indicator mounted on the underside of the aeroscreen.

i dont plan on tracking it
I just want to get a neat looking dash..
one of these, means i can get rid of the gaugues,warning lamps.....
it's all contained in 1 nice box
The only issue i see is that is quite chunky

Nope...
The thing is considerably smaller than you imagine (of course I don't know but have you held one?)
The wiring loom looks a doddle from my playing around under the dash (I didn't build the car and therefore didn't fit the digidash).
Hell - if it's a tidy dash you need then you can't go wrong.
I belevie it's also SVA compliant with its various flashy lights (indicators, headlight etc.)
PS: Forgot to mention the software's easy to use too.

V2 has all the gear indicators and shift light built in. 5 different screen settings for road or track e.g. you might just want Revs, gear and
shiftlight on the track.
Virtual fuel gauge, where you tell the unit how much the tank holds and how much you put in.
Circuit timers, 0-60 (adjustable mielage points), 1/4 mile times.
Can also have optional HUD (heads up display) on your crash helmet visor or add an infrared reciever for lap timing.
The firmware is updated regularly. The fuel tank level option was recently added just by downloading the update.

You can plug the V2 into your PC/laptop and download recorded data or update the firmware as new options become available.
As you can see, it fits nicely in the centre of my 300mm dia steering wheel.
You will still need the bright6 indicator light unit for the sva plus oil pressure/water temp gauges though if you want to take these readings.

I'll second that for the VR2..great bit of kit and good value and with careful postion looks good and is right in your field of vision.

dd2 excellent quality and reliability, easy to wire up and sva friendly. can't comment on the veypor but they do look good value for money when
comparing with the digidash lite

I purchased this litle kit from germany for conrodkid through ebay,the exchange rate has moved in our favour now by at least £10 since.

Its a smart kit and comes with all the fittings and sensors for a great price.

Hi all, I have a digi dash lite that I mounted on an aluminium bracket mounted directly on the steering column, so as you look at the wheel it sits in
the top half. Not sure about sva etc though. First class service from ETB and all the reducers available to mount the different sensors, 1/8 npt etc,
etc, First class product great with the shift lights etc.
And forgot it does look really cool!!.

I am planning to pad my V2 around the edges for sva, so that it is countersunk.
This of course will mysteriously vanish afterwards
Because of the slight dish in my wheel, the v2 is lower than the outside edge of the wheel.
I have mounted it centrally so that my dual oil/water and lambda gauge can still be read and my switches are within the 127mm safe zone.

i've got the dd2 pro wit the data logging and can't fault it i've mounted mine on to the dash but just above the steering coloumn so
i can see it through the steering wheel!

Same position as mine. Again cant fault it. To compare it you should do so against stack / evo dash etc. The DD2 comes out great on every count.
