Hi Matthew,

Welcome to the site, and you have a nice looking car, but might I suggest a slightly smaller avatar? (somewhere in the region of 200 pixels across or less??)

hope this doesn't offend!

All the best,
Steve.

If you really want to do it properly mate, get some 13's and some cut slicks - you won't get anything that will touch that kind of grip for the money!!!

Yes, i thought about keeping the 17" for on the road and if i was to do a track day got some cut slicks and smaller wheels. (I built it 2 years ago )

I imagine that there would be quite a bit a bit of suspension adjustment between the two wheel sizes but could still be worth it - I have 15's on mine which is great, but so so wish I'd gone for 13's!

By the way I've sent you a U2U!

Steve (and his brother) are top blokes, you won't go far wrong with their advice!

you could do a lot worse though in joining the BEC Owners Club! If you check out the discount offered it's worth it in Insurance OR Trackday discount in alone!
Not that I am biased or anything, just that I've already taken advantage of the offers, and think everyone else should if they can also!!!
Are you going to the Stoneleigh show Matthew?

wait until you are running Toyo R888's and then you can say it depends on the weather!
I was out yesterday in the rain with my GF and it was pretty hairy, I knew I should of backed off when the roundabout road surface changed form that shell-grip stuff, but my car is still very new so I couldn't help it!!!

Nice car!!!!
I'd second changing to small wheels with bigger tyres. Lightweight cars can be crashy at the best of times and if the roads up norf are anything like the pothole ridden excuses for roads down south, I wouldn't want to be driving low profile tyres on big wheels (for one thing the alloys would get well and truly shagged in about 3 miles)...
