Ebay Dispute Help Please
Morning all,
I've had a dispute raised against me on ebay for a non delivered item. the problem is I haven't recieved payment, and he (susmet.ltd) is
claiming i have recieved it and cashed the postal order. the royal mail have a warning on thier website saying their is a postal order scam going on.
Annoying ly this guy said he'd collect the item previously and never arrived so i wasted a weekend, then was nice enough to offer him the item
still.
now after a month and him raising the dispute, does anyone have any advice.
(i know you normally do )
many thanks

Dont be rushed into anything, Take your time.
Contact eBay and keep them informed of how you see the situation and let them deal with it.
If it is a scam he will just go away.
You are the one telling the truth so hopefuly it will get sorted.
And once again dont panic. Sometimes a perfectly good reason for the problem comes along.
All the best.
Steve.

Also he has only been a eBay member for about 4 months.
Some new members can be a bit quick off the mark with a complaint.
Stand your ground mate.

The above advice is pretty much spot on - all I'd add is because he has only been a member for a short period of time, then maybe send him a
carefully worded email saying what you have and are doing and why, that then sort of eliminates him getting more and more irate as time passes before
it's sorted, hopefully making it easier in the long run???
hope you get it sorted!

keep Ebay informed of what you are doing and do it all by the book and you should be ok

Just tell them he hasn't paid then he must prove he has. Not sure how he could prove it but you could show your bank statement showing you
didn't deposit the postal order. Ideally you shouldn't accept any payment but paypal and you should get a signature if they collect or or
post recorded delivery if they want it shipped.

If you suspect it's a scam I certainly wouldn't show him your bank statement (not without some serious editing!!!!).....
