Look like the bastard love child of an Audi TT and a Nissan 350Z, with added chav body kit

(so, that's a No!)

Saw one trolling up the motorway on my way up to MNR over the Easter weekend. Looks really good in real life. I even slowed down to overtake it so I could get a better look........

Unfortunately the rules of the road prevented me from taking a piccy of it.....

R8? It's just a TT on steroids. Lazy desginers couldn't be bothered to make a new car so just used on old one. It might work though, as Porsche have been doing it for decades!

I think its absolutely gorgeous, the picture does not do it justice, you need to reserve judgement until you've seen one on the road... stunning!

Not sure. It might be one of those cars that takes about a year before it grows on you.

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

It's clearly not a tt on steroids. From my understanding as it's built by audi it has much more in common with the gallardo which is also designed by audi and uses audi bits as audi now own lamborghini.

it'll be near enough the same 4x4 system, running gear and v10 engine iirc.

I also happened to be talking to a guy a week or so ago who is on the order list for one, he's bored of his m6 as it's a couple of years old now!!

Ned.

ps backs up my theory:

I meant it looks like a TT on steroids, rather than it would perform like one.
I'm sure it'll be ba**ard fast and handle well, but I just don't like the way it looks.

Look at it this way, they'll sell big because people will be under the impression it'll be fast and reliable and competitively priced (I'd disagree with two or three of those statements), which means there'll be lots on the road.

And plenty in the scrappers

ATB

Simon

PS I couldn't care for it, as none of it's made in the UK.

the picture posted looks like a fat bastard has sat on the front and squashed it. Dreadful, however, its a bit better in other pictures.

Questionable reliability - one caught fire and burnt out at the Nurburgring a couple of weeks back. Even though it's pre-production you would have thought spontaneous combustion was designed out in such a car...

performance looks good 420bhp 1500kg 0-60 4.6s 187mph but theres a big power v10 version next year

reliability will probably be like all other audis ie a few niggling faults to annoy you but overall ok. preproduction models are nothing like production versions and are basically driven to death to see what goes wrong, its embarrassing when they fail but not surprising and unlikely to happen in the prod version

cost expensive £77k for the manual £82k for the auto but inline with the competition

not going to sell that well because they have a limited market and alot of competition.
