exhaust manifolds

does any one know of a company that supplies exhaust manifolds in seperate part, to diy fit and weld

You could always buy the flange and some bends and make it yourself.

That's what I did.

deamon tweeks sell these
they sell flanges seperatly to a manifold kit cos thats just bits of bent tube

they also sell the colectors

mnr's locostparts.net sell flanges for £15 .if you phone them im'e sur they will sell you an exhaust not welded up here is their link..

the locost parts site run by robin hood (who are now someone else) used to sell weld your own manifolds .........

just can't for the life of me remember the web site.

Do you mean already cut end fitted etc of just an armful of bends and a flange to weld them to?

The "diy manifold" kits that are sold by many including custom chrome etc are a rip off, as the work involved is extensive and effectively they are an expensive way of buying an armful of bends.

On the other hand, if you buy one where you literally just have to weld it together, the you may as well buy a finished manifold, because the work is all in getting the fits right, and the actual welding takes very little time.

the company that made my bends in stainless to my specification was these:

SDW Light Fab

who mandrel bent enough tube at exactly the diameters and lengths I needed, to make 2 complete 4-2-1 XE vauxhall manifolds, for £200, which is an absolute bargain.

theres a company by me that forms tubes.i just raid there skip its full of all types of tube and bends. have a look in the yellow pages for somewhere by you
