my mate has a capri what engine would you put in it.as he asked me to help him put it in lol. ive looked at the engine bay and its massive.

toyota supra turbo, old 7mgte engine. its smooth and will make that old rust box capri a screaming sideways machine with a twsh twsh!!

Cosworth V6 for ease, but to be honest, when a V8 will fit, it'd be rude not to
Especially when you see the prices for yank V8 parts, I was reading in PPC that it's £4 for a piston for a Ford 302 !

i love the sound of v8s. theres a jag v12 engine that i no of. but i dont no about all the parts for it. it sounds like it would be expensive if

My mate fitted a big block chevy v8 (7.4 ltrs!) 
around 650 bhp plus another 275 with nos !!
car was originally a 1.6l mk2 capri
have a look in my archive for a piccy

I was South Yorkshire Capri Club Organiser for a fw years and have to agree about the V8... gorgeous motor and doesn't upset the balance
much.
I believe they still have a website

It wouldn't sound right with a rotary. LS1 or 6 would be my choice. LS7 if funds allow!

i was just thinking of the rotary for another project lol. just got me thinking about boost with no pistons. and how much it would take.

The RX7 came turbocharged from the factory (twin turbos in fact), running about 10PSI boost IIRC.
