Don't do what I did link
Remember you have 5 working days to cancel without losing your dosh, better this than go half prepared and not even make the test time like me

And if you do cancel, you re-book with the test centre, not with the head office, so far less bureaucracy and less delay.

Thanks for the advice
I'm reasonably confident that we can finish what is left in the time available,
Just the brakes to bleed, lights to connect up, coolant system to connect and that's about it.
However I will re- assess next week.

Its the "lights to connect up" bit that you should be worrrying about.
Best let the missus do it if its go to be right

One of the guys at Nottingham did my first and second full test and he was really helpull.

One of the things he had to fail for on what was a full second test, he fixed himself!

That is private between myself and him, honest!

Do your best and as been said keep them informed. My car broke down on the way to the first test and before I got home they offered me a new test day, when I rang them to tell them I was going home on a tow truck.

Nottingham SVA centre's attitude is we will pass you if we can in the allocated time if at all possible, without breaking the rules. So if your failures can be fixed inside about an hour you will still get your MAC1.

Have you got the DVLA to inspect it yet, cos they go to Nottingham SVA centre on Fridays.

Try and chase up a number for the DVLA centre in Nottingham, cos if they need to do an inspection, they will do an inspection at the SVA centre whilst your there. My apologises cos since my car is now legal I‘ve lost the direct number
