Zetec injection information

Guys,

Can someone help me please?

I have a 1992 Zetec 1.8 from an Escort it’s an RDA engine.

The problem I have is that the Webber alpha kit K40023 whilst able to run the engine produces a very rich mixture and black smoke.

Below is the comparison of the parts I have and need. Added to my problems I can’t see the full part number on my bits either.

Fuel injector
Existing part 928F BIC
Recommended part 928F-9F593-BIC

Throttle Body
Existing part 928F CC?
Recommended part 958F-9E926-KA
throttle potentiometer

Existing part 928F 9B989
Recommended part 95BF-9B989 DA

Does anyone know on which cars engines the right parts are fitted?

Alternatively where I can get some cheaply.

Carbs are not an answer as I have already cut the bonnet etc.

Thanks

Ian

RDA is a 105bhp engine. K40023 is for a 130bhp engine on stock inlet. Your throttle body is significantly smaller and your cams have less lift and duration so your map is out.

Easiest way for you to get round this due to the scarcety of the 130bhp parts is to use a set of 2.0 cams and a mondeo 2.0 throttle body. the inectors are the same.
