starter motor, again!

ok having taken some material off my sump im still about 10mm off getting the lucas 707 starter to fit my zetec/mt75, do i have to changed my phase 1 mondeo 2.0l sump or is there a smaller bodied starter out there??

Think some people have used a Sierra CVH type starter motor I believe. Maybe worth a look.

yep, the lrs707 or the lrs535 witch are the same unit, are there any other ideas??

From an old thread, and a ph3 zetec which is a tighter fit but here's my starter details:
Sorted at last, A QS1221 starter from QX Components, www.qxcomponents.co.uk still lots to grind off I've about 1mm clearance, but its clearance.
I got change out of £55 including next day delivery, a really helpful company well worth a try
A few pics in my archive, a bit big, but this does work, it isn't theory.

Might be more room if you use an escort zetec 1800 sump or even an 1800 cvh sump.

he has done it but not to a 1994 zetec, the sump is different on the older ones
