harness through cobra seat

hi all
reading up with interest, i have cobra seat with three inch harnesses going through holes, is this ok for SVA, surely thats what the holes are for!!!!

yes that is fine just make sure they are fixed at the correct height. Some earlier cobra seats had the harness holes too low, the later ones are now ok.

When you pull the seatbelt if it puts pressure on the seat then for SVA purposes it has to comply with the seat mounting strength requirements.
Most people put the seatbelts round the seat for SVA and only put them through the eyes afterwards.

When I went for my first SVA earlier this month I had 3" harnesses going through the harness holes in the Cobra 7 seats and no comment was made. I think it's fair to say that every station, and perhaps every tester, is different though I'm afraid (I went to Yeading).
