1.8 Sump

if i use a 1.8 sump on my 2.0 zetec will i have to change the oil pick up or are they the same, also will i need a 1.8 dip stick?
i know this could be done with trial and error but i have not got the time!

Make sure it's a escort 1.6/1.8 sump and not mondeo 1.6/1.8 as it's the same one as the 2.0

You have to change the oil pickup as it picks up at a different place and you also need to change baffle plate (or whatever it's called) as the internal ribs are different

Oil pickup, no clue, I kept the original one, all that could go wrong is that you have more oil in then necessary, but the level won't be higher then with the 2.0 sump as the sump has nothing to do with the level. (my explanation sounds complicated )

I just bought a seized 1.6 escort unit so I had all parts necesary

You will need to change the pickup aswell. IIRC the 2 litre one touches the bottom of the sump on the 1.8,.
