The Locost Builders 'Club'

Although I have some very important things to do, I'm going to pretend their not there and waste precious time by asking a simple question...

can we make this a club?

handy for insurance purposes also, so I've read

and I want a club members tie

I think we should try to do something like this ASAP.

We used to have the Locost Car club (and I guess we still do for insurance purposes) but it's mostly gone now.

As a group we should be able to get some pretty impressive attendance at kitcar shows, trackdays etc... As well as having good discounts etc... from a lot of suppliers.

Nice!

In Ron Champion Style....

Materials Required:
Some Cloth
Some Thread
A printer.

Skills Required:
Stupidity
Perserverance
Kneedlework

Directions:

Fashion a tie out of the materials that looks like this..

Club Tie
Club Tie

Once you've done this. wear the tie.

I took my son to france and he wore the tie the whole way. Lots of people stopped and asked about the tie.

Am I missing something here? Isn't it already a "club", since you have to register, you have an ID and are called a "member". What more is needed (formal articles of association, maybe?)

As far as ties go, why not buy a cheap plain-coloured tie, print off the design of your choosing onto transfer paper and iron it on. Its suppsoed to be for T shirts but I can't see why it wouldn't work on a tie. Personally, I wouldn't wear a tie though...

but it's called Locost Builders not Locost Builders 'Club', I'm saying change the name...

If you wanted a valuation for insurance purposes and said 'well I go on the web to this web site thing, we all think we're in a club but...' instead of 'I'm a member of...', see where I'm going here?

no oh well back to work

I don't know, how do other clubs manage it? Area representatives?

There seem to have quite a lot of folk on here that are building cars from scratch. They cannot simply get their cars valued by a manufacturer or a specific members club for that car. But if this was a club a valuation could be given as such, even if it was just a form.

Probably horrific grammar there.
